Summer school

Double summer school on Collaborative Robotics & Software Engineering

6 — 19 August, Innopolis, Russia

The summer school aims to get together ambition Master and PhD students, PostDocs and young researchers with a background in Robotics or Software Engineering. The working language of the Summer School is English.

Representatives from Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Israel, Pakistan, India, Syria, Sri Lanka and Russia took part in the Double Summer School 2018.

Marco Radavelli PhD student, University of Bergamo, Italy

It is my first visit to Innopolis University, and to Russia. I don’t see many differences from the European universities I have studied. The quality of research and teaching is high, the building and study environment very helpful for students to focus on studies, and practical projects and industrial collaboration are available for students.

Ali Younes MS Student, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Russia

I had got many ideas to implement and work on during the school, learned how to build structured robotic system using ROS, working with a team and using git to manage the collaboration. I am really interested in the idea of Innopolis city, which may consider as a try to begin a "Russian Silicon Valley".

Mauricio Fayula-Gonzalez Hardware Engineer, Seville, Spain

The impression about Innopolis and its University is excellent: having travelled quite a lot in academic environments, never found any similar place. The studies during the Summer School were brief but offered the feeling that they were of high quality, structured in small parts according to the specialty of each Professor or Teaching Assistant.

According to the School results, the best project was chosen: “Using mixed reality for human-robot collaboration”.
