Alexandr Klimchik, PhD., Assistant Professor

Alexandr Klimchik received the Engineering and Master degree in automation control from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Belarus) in 2006 and 2007, respectively, Ph.D degrees in mechanical engineering (robotics) from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France) in 2011. From 2011 to 2015 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Ecole des Mines de Nantes (France) and was a member of robotic team in the Research Institute in Communications and Cybernetics of Nantes (IRCCyN, France). His research interests include stiffness modeling of serial, quasi-serial and parallel manipulators, identification robot geometrical and elasto-static parameters, design of calibration experiments, optimization of technological process based on the kinetostatic modeling, compensation positioning errors using indirect measurements. Alexandr is the author of more than 60 research papers in English, he has an h-index of 10 and over 300 citations. His paper published in “Mechanisms and Machine Theory” (2011, 46 (5), 662-679) is Top-2 sited papers in this journal (Top-5 international journal in mechanical engineering, Impact factor 1.66).

Ilya Afanasyev, Assistant Professor

Ilya Afanasyev graduated from the Baltic State Technical University (St. Petersburg, Russia) with a major in Automatic Control Systems in 2000. He obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering with a major in Optical and Optical Electronic Instruments and Systems at the Vavilov State Optical Institute (St. Petersburg, Russia) in 2006. In 2010-2013, he worked as a Marie Curie postdoctoral research fellow in Mechatronics Laboratory at the University of Trento (Italy), conducting research on 3D sensors and data processing algorithms, co-supervising and teaching Master students. He was engaged in various national and international hardware projects both for academy and for industry in the field of sensor applications for aerospace, banking, robotics and oilfield service. His main research interests are sensors, data acquisition and processing, instrument development for R&D projects and industrial applications. Ilya is the author of 34 papers.

Ilya Shimchik, Senior Research Engineer

Ilya Shimchik obtained a specialist degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) in 2011. In 2014 he obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology (Software Engineering track) degree from Carnegie Mellon University (USA). His research interests include anthropomorphic robots and biped locomotion. In addition to academic activities, Ilya has an industrial experience as a software developer and a manager of software development projects, such as online banking implementation, Skyforge game development (Mail.ru) and Rostelecom provisioning system. He is the author of two publications.

Ramil Khusainov, Engineer

Ramil Khusainov completed his Master degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 2012 – 2015, he worked as a researcher at Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. Ramil also has a broad experience in the areas of dynamic processes, mathematical modelling and continuum mechanics. His research interests include physical motion simulators for anthropomorphic robots and walking robots prototypes development.

Igor Danilov, Programmer

Igor Danilov obtained his Master degree in “Information processes and systems” from the Kazan Federal University in 2010. In 2011 – 2012, he worked as a programmer at Fujitsu Services, where he was responsible for development of the dispatching systems. In 2011 – 2012 Igor worked as a research engineer at TGT Oilfield Services, where he was involved into the geophysical research. While working at TGT Oilfield Services, in 2013 Igor started his education toward PhD degree in Radio physics at the Kazan Federal University. Igor is skilled in Java and C++ programming, has a broad experience with the Data Based Management System (DBMS), development of the electronic devices, data processing in Matlab, and physical experiments. His research interests include physical motion simulators for anthropomorphic robots and development of a system for automatic copter landing.

Aidar Gabdullin, Junior Research Associate


Graduated from the Kazan Federal University (Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics) in 2009. After graduation worked as server-side web developer and team leader in beboss.ru. In 2015 obtained Master of Science in Information Technology from Innopolis University. Was a tech leader of video-collaboration service SpeakTo. Has implemented telepresence solutions for mobile robots. His research interests include autonomous flying vehicles control algorithms.

 

Mikhail Ivanov, Junior researcher

Mikhail graduated from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Belarus) with a degree in Artificial Intelligent in 2012. In 2010 - 2015 he worked for the IBA Group as a software developer in Minsk.  At the same time (2012-2014) he graduated from The Yandex School of Data Analysis. In 2015 -2017 he worked as a software developer (highload backend) in Juno Company. Mikhail knows Java, Go, Python, Ruby and C ++ languages. He has a broad experience in programming for more than 7 years. Currently he is working on software development, testing and improvement of the laboratory’s robots. His main research includes manipulators' dynamic, AI and software development for robots.

 

         

Konstantin Kostenko

Konstantin Kostenko received his master’s degree in Systems Analysis and Management from Dubna International University of Nature, Society and Man in 2007. He finished the graduate study in 2010 and received Ph.D. degree in Systems Analysis, Management and Information Processing from Vladimir State University in 2013.

He worked in the Institute of Systems Analysis of Dubna University. He was engaged as a senior staff scientist at the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Acoustics (Dubna), where he worked on the algorithm development for a monitoring and localization system of acoustic sources. Konstantin was engaged in the software development for industrial equipment during his work in research and production companies for a number of years.

His research interests include systems analysis, computer modeling and algorithm development for complex technical systems, digital signal processing, algorithm development for industrial robots. Now Konstantin is working on research and algorithm development for cable robots. He is the author of 14 publications in Russian and English, including 1 software patent.

 

Dmitry Popov


Dmitry graduated from Urals Radio Technical College named after A.S. Popov as specialist in creation of radio equipment. Then he graduated from Ural State University named after Boris Yeltsin with honours as bachelor of radiotechnics and master of construction and technology of electronic devices in 2014 and 2016, respectively. During the last years of training he worked as an engineer in the department of "Technology and communication".

Currently he is working on identification and localization of robot collisions with persons, with environment, and with robots for industrial robots, as well as development of software and hardware system for anthropomorphic robot within “UMNIK” program.

Dmitry is interested in anthropomorphic robotics, data processing, modeling of physical processes, industrial robotics, computer vision, machine learning.
