The Russian IT University expands cooperation with universities of the BRICS countries by establishing ties with a new academic partner.

Innopolis University and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras agreed upon student exchange

In addition to agreement on student exchange, the parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document provides for cooperation on joint research projects, communicating research data and publications, exchange of faculty members, researchers, administrative personnel and organisation of events.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a part of the Indian Institutes of Technology consortium that includes 23 best technical universities of India. According to the rating of Times Higher Education, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras is among top-50 universities of the BRICS and developing countries and in top-100 universities of Asia in 2016. In addition, the rating by QS World University Rankings shows that the Institute is among top-20 universities of the BRICS countries and top-50 universities of Asia for the year 2016. According to the global rating of QS Engineering and Technology, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras is on the 110th position.
