Innopolis University signed memorandums of understanding with four foreign universities

Trent University, University of Bologna, Indian University of Kharaghpur, and University of Novi Sad have become new academic partners of the Russian IT University.

Innopolis University signed memorandums of understanding with four foreign universities

As part of cooperation, the universities will start exchange of students and faculty members, academic and research information, perform joint research, develop educational programs and double diploma programs together.

Sergey Karapetyan, Acting Director for International and Academic Cooperation at Innopolis University: “So far, Innopolis University has 36 academic partners from 20 countries of the world. Our new partners are leading higher education institutions of Italy, Serbia and India. Equal distribution of international activities over different countries is very important for us. This will allow us recruit the best students and faculty members in the region and improve communication with other local universities and start cooperation”.


Trent University, Italy, is a young higher education institution established in 1962. According to QS World University Ranking and The Times Higher Education, it is among the top global universities. Trent University holds the second place in the national rating of the leading state universities Sole 24 Ore. The most well-known faculty members are Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Giorgio Napolitano, Ex-President of Italy, Vaclav Klaus, second President of the Czech Republic.


University of Bologna, Italy, established in 1088, the oldest university in Europe. It is considered to be a founder of the European education. Among its distinguished graduates are astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Becket, and Italian poet Francesco Petrarca.


Indian University of Kharaghpur, India, established in 1951, first Indian institute of technology with a status of state concern. The institution has been holding leading positions in the national rankings of technical universities. Among its distinguished graduates are Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Arun Sarin, CEO of Vodafone, Pradeep Khosla, Rector of the University of California.

University of Novi Sad, Serbia, established in 1960, is one of the most important higher education and research centres in south-western Europe educating over 50,000 students. The university has a functioning technology park where students develop their own startups. So far, over 140 projects has been created.
