Fostering innovations: Kaspersky Lab and Innopolis University agreed on cooperation Synergy of a software security systems developer and a Russian IT university will contribute to the advancement of scientific research and education. 3 February 2016 Innopolis 4.7k visits Kaspersky Lab and Innopolis University, the first higher education institution in Russia focused on education in the field of Information Technology, have signed a cooperation agreement. Both signatories intend to exchange results of their research, work on mutual scientific projects, improve the quality of education and training of young IT professionals and discover perspective innovative projects. Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab, and Kirill Semenikhin, Director of Innopolis University, signed a Memorandum of Intent in presence of Egor Ivanov, Mayor of Innopolis city. Kaspersky Lab has been cooperating with Russian higher education institutions and supporting programs of industry-specific IT education for many years. Innopolis University, that was officially opened in 2014 in the same-named science & technology city, collaborates with Carnegie-Mellon University, USA. At present, the university education programs cover high-technology areas as Software Engineering, Robotics, Big Data Management, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Networks Security.
