Industrial cybersecurity issues were discussed at the conference at Innopolis University

On October 10-12 Innopolis University hosted the IV CyberSecurity Conference 2016: Unite and Act. Experts in industrial security systems and leaders of companies operating in the field of electrical energy, nuclear, engineering, transportation, oil and gas and other industries gathered to discuss cybersecurity solutions and automated industry control systems. Participants analyze problems of cybersecurity systems, suggest possible remedies and methods of protection against cyber attacks.

The event was opened by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Director General of "Kaspersky Lab" Eugene Kaspersky, and Vice President of Rostelekom Aleksandr Maslov. One of the sections of the Conference was focused on the issues of industrial cybersecurity in Innopolis. Sergey Petrenko, Head of the Centre for Information Security at Innopolis University spoke at the section.

Besides, the opening of Kaspersky Lab ICS-CERT, the first Russian Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team was announced. CERT will collect information about identified problems, occurred incidents and threats. It will provide recommendations for protection against cyber attacks, offer consultations and assessment of the security level of industrial automation systems, and investigate cybersecurity incidents.
